Fredericia town

Fredericia’s town centre is bounded by Northern Europe’s best-preserved ramparts, with beautiful city gates. For residents and visitors alike, the ramparts are now a wonderful urban park with cannons, jogging trails, picnic areas and a view of both Little Belt bridges. The streets within the ramparts are laid out like a chessboard, with many historical buildings and a charming and vibrant commercial life. In the city’s old industrial areas by the port a canal district is being constructed which will be a new sustainable part of town, with housing, businesses and cultural activities on the Little Belt coast. The new and old parts of the area are being intertwined and developed with a respect for history and confidence in the future.
